Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as an elementary school teacher, and her mom was an at-home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed show-like puppets in front of the children from her neighborhood. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six, which prompted a call from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to enter the show industry. McCormick was chosen to play in her first major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show the play Wind It Up And It breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. She told me that it could be possible, however we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
